Platte River Power Authority is a not-for-profit utility that generates and delivers safe, reliable, environmentally responsible, and financially sustainable energy and services to its owner communities of Estes Park, Fort Collins, Longmont, and Loveland. Platte River's generation portfolio includes thermal, hydro, wind and solar resources.

Notable Accomplishments / Recognition
In 2018, Platte River signed a power purchase agreement for a 150-megawatt wind farm to be built in southern Wyoming; and will install an additional 20 MW of solar energy capacity at PRPA's Rawhide Energy Station in Wellington, CO. Currently, approximately 32 percent of the energy Platte River delivers to its owner communities comes from non-carbon resources; and by 2020, this percentage is expected to increase to about 50 percent.
